A founder can have years of useful experience and still struggle to turn it into a LinkedIn post. Usually, the missing piece is a repeatable process for capturing ideas.
Start with what happened this week
The best source material often lives in ordinary working days: a client question, a difficult decision, a mistake, a win or an opinion that came up in a meeting. Capture those moments before they disappear into the next task.
Build a voice bank
Save phrases the founder actually uses, examples they tell repeatedly, views they feel strongly about and subjects they would rather avoid. A good ghostwriter should be able to explain why a draft sounds like its author.
Use a simple weekly content system
- Collect three to five raw ideas from calls, voice notes or messages.
- Choose one clear takeaway for each post.
- Write a first draft with a specific opening and concrete detail.
- Get the founder to review the accuracy, opinion and tone.
- Track the conversations and opportunities the content creates, not just impressions.
Consistency comes from preparation
When the next month's content depends on inspiration arriving at the right moment, posting becomes stressful. A small backlog of well-developed ideas gives the founder room to focus on their business.
